September (Pride and Joy Book 1) by Robert Winter

I really enjoyed Robert Winter's first novel, September. It's the story of a May-September romance and Robert is a great storyteller. David & Brandon (the 2 main characters) go through a lot while developing their relationship, some things quite intense (but I don't want to give anything away!).

The author is very good at writing very real, believable people and situations, making this a wonderful read. Thankfully, it's the first in a series - I'm really looking forward to reading more from Mr. Winter.

I'm not a professional reviewer - I'm a reader. These reviews are my personal thoughts and observations. My reviews are often short and to the point - and I don't like to give too much away in my reviews (my reviews may get longer as I write more, but I still don't like spoilers, so don't expect too many details).

I have quite a few authors that I enjoy reading and I tend to like their books so you may not see too many negative reviews here. Sorry, that's just the way it is. I read for enjoyment, so I gravitate toward authors that I like. My reading list is always expanding, though, so I do try out new authors from time to time. I read a lot and can't promise that I will review every book I read (so many books, so little time!).

I don't typically receive free books to review (I do beta-read for several authors, but pretty much always buy the final ebook once it's available for purchase because I believe in supporting independent authors). If I do review a book that I received for free and didn't purchase a copy on my own, I'll always disclose that in the review.

I will usually post a list where you can purchase the book, but I do not receive any compensation if you purchase the book by following that link. It is only provided as a courtesy to the author and the reader of these reviews.
